Hey, there!

I love living here in Utah’s thriving little city of Provo.  I enjoy its strong LDS influence, its high rates of volunteerism, its close-knit families, and its low rates of crime.  I also appreciate its global reach, its diverse restaurants, its affordable housing, its educational opportunities, its entrepreneurial spirit, its Information-Age businesses, its sober students, its healthy lifestyles, and its happy neighbors.  Provo may not have a laudable nightlife at present, but I think that it’s nevertheless a wonderful place to live.

No place is perfect, though, and even a relative paradise like Provo has its share of troubles.  And, although others may feel/think differently, what bothers me most about Provo remains centered mostly in its municipal government, which has somehow become dominated by central planners, who have busied themselves with violating rights, raising taxes, incurring debt, proliferating ordinances, and multiplying bureaucrats.

This status quo baffles me, especially considering that Provo ranks among America’s most conservative cities, and so I figure that my neighbors probably haven’t been paying attention as they should.  Which is partly why I decided to create this website to help motivate, educate, inform, activate, and organize my fellow Provoans to retake this city from the statists who currently dominate it, lest our now-prosperous Provo should degenerate like Detroit.

We need to persistently replace our rights-violators with rights-defenders, not only in federal office but also in both state and local office.  I believe that, even at the municipal level, any political system’s proper role is to function in bottom-upward fashion to expertly help us to defend our rights from others’ aggression, not to operate in top-downward manner to arrogantly seek to control our world.  And that it’s best to keep such power as dispersed as possible, and that there’s no smaller political unit than individuals or families.

So, I invite you to please join me and others in exercising our equal innate God-given rights to rally both ourselves and our neighbors to the cause of freedom, to gradually eliminate oppressors from public office, and to restore a free Provo in which our rightful liberty is both respected and defended, including by our public officers, such that the state ceases to interfere with our efforts as free citizens to render Provo an ever-better place in which to live.  Please study these pages, subscribe to our blog for updates, and join our conversation on Facebook.

P. S. After spending most of my adulthood living in Provo, I relocated to Orem in 2018, which is sadly suffering from very similar problems—but I still remain very concerned about Provo and very involved in its politics.
