Police Corruption

Here’s one incident that hopefully doesn’t represent a larger trend…  When local activist David Garber discovered in 2007 that his storage unit had been plundered, he immediately called Provo’s police department, to which an officer promptly responded to take his statement.  When David reported that his missing items included a Dish Network receiver (with a unique trackable smartcard), the officer omitted this one item from his report while advising David to investigate the missing receiver himself—which David then attempted to do, only to be informed by Dish Network customer service that they could not disclose the whereabouts of the stolen receiver without a court order, which was never issued.  This officer also promised repeatedly for several months to send a detective to conduct CSI on this storage unit, which David avoided entering in order to help preserve any evidence therein—and, when a detective finally came to dust for fingerprints, it seemed to David that this crime scene (despite its new pick-proof lock) had been recently “cleaned up.”  Shortly afterward, the initial officer on the scene admitted that he should have followed standard procedure to have CSI conducted on the same day that the crime was reported.  These criminals were never identified, and David suspects collusion between the police and the thieves.

Some rumors have circulated that Provo’s police officers are expected to issue a certain number of citations per day under penalty of receiving demerits on unrelated matters.  Such ticket quotas may increase revenue, but they also encourage police officers to improperly reverse their priorities away from serious crimes toward petty offenses, and even to unjustly punish the innocent.  So, let’s hope that such allegations are unfounded.

Throughout the awesome pattern of things you receive a B+ for effort and hard work. Where exactly you lost me was first in the details. As they say, the devil is in the details… And it could not be more accurate at this point. Having said that, permit me tell you exactly what did give good results. The authoring is definitely quite engaging and that is possibly the reason why I am making the effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Secondly, even though I can notice a leaps in logic you come up with, I am not really certain of how you seem to unite your details which help to make your conclusion. For the moment I shall yield to your issue but wish in the foreseeable future you connect the facts much better.

    1. Storage unit robbed
    2. Dish with smart device to be able to locate, if the proper evidence was taken and documented properly which officer purposely omitted from his report.
    3. No proper investigation done crime scene investigation, CSI. If the police, had collected fingerprints and done proper investigation which they didn’t because, someone or some invisible person mysteriously cleaned up the scene?? Of course let’s send CSI out months later to investigate LMAO are you kidding me? PROVO POLICE DEPARTMENT obviously accidentally omitted on his police report to mention, “SMART DEVICE” that could of solved to help get his DISH RECEIVER back????? FABRICATED FALSE POLICE REPORT and TRUST ME, that is probable cause to report not bias but just flat out LAZY, because it will actually have them do their POLICE REPORTING.
    4. Since, “SMART DEVICE”, fabricated, omitted, now the guy lost his ability to ever recover stolen property from his storage unit because the company that he purchased Dish receiver from needs a police report to claim losses on the stolen property and or to help the guy access ability to locate the dish receiver via since police officer failed to mention in his police report that in the dish there was a, “SMART DEVICE”!!!
5 So now months have passed, can’t collect evidence at crime scene because police officer failed to call CSI??? Then calls them out, oh guess what crime scene contaminated, cleaned up!!!! If anyone reading this article can’t follow or comprehend it should not make such a comment on the article because obviously lacks low intelligence. Wait is the above commenter belong to our so loved, untruthful, biased, corrupted PROVO POLICE DEPARTMENT?? Of course right or wrong back the blue until it happens to you!! Well, I don’t back our blue because corruption has happened to me and my family due to lack of evidence and lazy, police investigation and has caused severe years drawn out case still going. So you shut your mouth, your low IQ, doesn’t need your smart ass comment so if you don’t read or engage on the world around you called the, “NEWS”, your wasted space is not needed. Oh wait you sound just like all the oath breaking tyrants that can mess things up and lie and get a slap on the wrist, because you got your protection, “Qualified Immunity”!! So us citizens break a law and get the book thrown at us, oh wait my families case has the evidence that luckily I kept to prove innocence. This poor guy got screwed out of no dish receiver recovered or no suspect or suspects to remotely recover anything or be arrested. Now can you understand because of the neglected investigation why our community has no faith, trust that our own police department can’t follow the laws but have their protected immunity to cover their asses or just to be lazy?? Let’s make and voice our injuries and injustices and hurt our own people endure, take away qualified immunity from all political parties and you watch their asses won’t lie, fabricate police reports, bribe judiciary to drop charges with basketball ball tickets yes one of our prosecutor in Utah did. It worked too. That doesn’t work for our citizens of the state or cities. You break your oath, you go to jail period. SHAME ON PROVO POLICE DEPARTMENT for being tyrants of the law. Hope this educated anyone reading this. Don’t be ignorant do your own investigation I have and there is enough to proof beyond reasonable doubt this police department has screwed a lot of innocent people by sending them to jail or not protecting what they took an oath to serve. Please anyone comment and tell me how stupid I am. I challenge you!!
